Many of us in the IPv6 community have been eagerly waiting for the Google IPv6 Statistics page to show over 50% utilization. We are getting close, topping over 49% on 21 June 2025. Now there are many making predictions as to when the Google Statistic will finally break the 50% mark.
Of course, breaking 50% adoption (as Google calls it), doesn't mean that IPv4 is finally beaten, and will disappear quickly. There will clearly be the "Long Tail" effect, and I wouldn't be surprised to see some IPv4 in 2050. The IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) has already decided that there will be no more development (read: RFCs) for IPv4.
It has been observed that the stats page does not draw a straight line, but that there are ridges like the back of a stegosaurus. Some of these variations, are clearly tied the end of the year.

One can infer that when many people take vacation around the holidays, and therefore, IPv6 utilization increases.
Zooming in a bit on the more recent stats, one can see that there is nearly a 4% dip in IPv6 utilization between Sunday (14 Sept 2025) and Monday (15 Sept 2025).

Zooming into mid-September 2025, one can see the stats by individual days. Below, the arrow is pointing to Friday, where IPv6 utilization has increased by 2.3% over the previous weekdays of that week.

It clearly shows that Friday is the best day of the work-week.
Of course, it would be easy to draw many conclusions from the Google Stats. One could, for example, state that more homes have IPv6, than businesses. But that would be making some assumptions, and more data really would be needed.
However, what one conclusion that we can draw from the statistics is that IPv6 hates Mondays.
